Fight for 15

With direction given by City Council at a study session on April 7, 2015, Emeryville is poised to pay its lowest wage workers $15/hour by 2018.

This morning, I stood with former labor secretary Robert Reich and Oakland mayor Libby Schaaf at 45th and Telegraph, in support of those among us who struggle to get by. 



I am grateful today that Lift Up Oakland has changed the regional conversation. And I'm grateful to Mayor Ruth Atkin, who changed the conversation right here in Emeryville.
